The production of car body aerodynamic components is an extremely delicate, precise and demanding work. On the one hand, it is necessary to ensure the appropriate quality and durability of splitters, on the other hand, we must also remember their visual appeal. So how do we make our splitters?
Everything begins with the car. After all, it is the cars that will finally have the finished elements installed. How do the cars get to us? Usually it goes two ways: either we are looking for a specific model for which we want to create a splitter set, or it is the owner of the car who contacts us. Our design department reviews every proposal.
When a given proposal is accepted, we immediately contact the owner of the car to arrange a visit to our headquarters. Why do we want a given car model to come to us? This is due to the method we use to create our products. To create a splitter set, it is necessary to make a 3D scan of the car body.

Stage 1.
Scanning the vehicle
Our specialist uses a dedicated scanner, which, using a laser beam that is reflected from the body, creates a highly detailed digital model.
This method is completely non-invasive for the car, does not damage it in any way, and at the same time provides a design basis for creating perfectly adjusted elements. All Maxton Design splitters are made in Poland. They are all designed and manufactured at our headquarters in Wojnicz. That is why we always invite owners of cars for which we create splitter sets.
Stage 2.
Based on the scans we create digital prototype splitters
What do we do with the 3D model of the car? We send the scan along with photos of the car, exact dimensions and other required information to our designers.
With the help of appropriate tools and software, designers create digital models of prototype splitters. This stage requires both very high accuracy, so that the ready-made elements are correctly adjusted, but also a great aesthetic sense of style, so that the whole designed set blends well with the body, with its nuances and all the details of the bodywork and the general character of any given model. And when the design is ready and approved, the actual production process begins, first of the prototype set, and then the one available to the customers.

Stage 3.
Production process
We offer four collections: Street Plus, Street Pro, Racing and Hybrid. In each case, the production process is slightly different.
In the case of splitters from the Street Plus collection, we start with creating a program for CNC cutters, which cut the molds out based on the design of the splitters. The mold cutting process takes about 24 hours. When the CNC cutter has finished cutting, the mold is handed over to qualified staff who manually smooth out any leftovers after cutting and give it the final shape.
When the mold is ready, it is placed on the table of the thermoforming machine. The working principle of this machine is very simple. The plate of ABS material is placed in the upper section, just below the blowers that heat the plate up with hot air. Below is a table to which the mold is affixed. The table is also equipped with special holes through which hot air is removed.

Następnie uformowana już płyta trafia najpierw do pracowników, którzy wycinają z niej element, a potem następuje ostatecz-na obróbka ręczna danego elementu. Pracownicy ręcznie szlifują splittery, nadając im odpo-wiedni kształt, grubość i wygląd oraz dokonują inspekcji jakości. Element jest gotowy.
When the first packet prototype is ready, we invite the owner of the car to our headquarters again to install the splitters.
Our mounting specialists check if the element fits properly, and if necessary, make corrections to the mold or cutting program so that customers receive a perfectly adjusted component. During this visit, we also take product photos, which you can later see in our online store, and we also film some videos. And when everything is taken care of, our offer is extended by a set of splitters for the next car model.
